Danopren 500 TL is 50mm deep, high performance thermal insulation board typically used in basements and other areas that are susceptible to water accumulation on the floor. The insulation is made from extruded polystyrene (XPS) having deep drainage channels formed on one side of the board
The tight closed cell structure of XPS foam provides excellent compressive strength and exceptional resistance to the absorption of water. The shiplap edges allow each board to overlap and fit neatly together to form a watertight layer, making it the ideal floor insulation product to use as part of a basement waterproofing system.
The rigid foam panels form an insulated layer when installed across basement slabs and adjacent to basement drainage channels, providing stable long-term support for cavity drain flooring membranes in Type C tanking applications.
The 0.75 square metre sheets are quick and simple to lay and to trim. Boards should be laid in the style of laying bricks and all joints should be taped. When used for insulating basement floors or other bases that may be subject to flooding, it is recommended to secure each board to the concrete slab using mechanical anchor at the rate of 5 fixings to each board with no fixing placed within 50mm of the board edge or 150mm from its corner.
Board dimension: 1250mm x 600mm x 50mm – supplied in packs of 6 square metres (8 boards per pack) and sold in lots of 4 packs (24 m2), 6 packs (36 m2), 8 packs (48 m2) and 10 packs (60 m2).
