Hydra-Dry is a BBA Approved cementitious tanking mix. Use it to waterproof the walls of a cellar. Mix the polymer-modified powder with water. Blend it to a paste-like consistency. Use the paste as a waterproof tanking slurry on cellar walls.

This paint-on tanking slurry prevents water intrusion. It forms a physical and chemical bond with masonry. The tanking system complies with BS 8102. It offers Type-A barrier protection for structures beneath ground level. Use the slurry on brick, block, concrete, or stone walls as internal waterproofing against damp penetration.

How to Tank the Walls in a Cellar.

Prepare the surface before tanking. Clean off dirt and paint from areas requiring treatment. Make sure walls and joints are flush. The Hydradry universal mortar and plugging compound are helpful for this purpose.

Mix the 20 kg bag of powder with 3.2 to 4 litres of clean water. Wet the walls ready for the first slurry coat. Work the tanking slurry into the wall surface with a stiff brush. When the undercoat is dry, apply the top coat at right angles to it. The combined tanking layers must be at least 2 mm thick.
Use a lightweight renovating plaster to shield the tanking and guard it against damage.
