Condensation Season: Protect YOUR Property Today!

Condensation, one of the leading causes of structural damp, can occur at any time of year. From October until April, the potential for condensation is at its highest due to higher differences between indoor and outdoor temperature: the problem is so common that people working in the building trade often refer to these months as 'condensation season'.

As a recognised leader in the supply of top-class products designed to prevent and remediate damp, Twistfix offers a comprehensive collection of items that can help to reduce condensation. One of these products is ThermalDry Anti-Condensation Paint, a consistent bestseller thanks to its unrivalled effectiveness.

ThermalDry Anti-Condensation Paint, designed and developed by highly-renowned brand Wykamol, is an innovative formula that reduces the dew point (the temperature at which condensation begins to occur) of any surface it is correctly applied to. Easily and rapidly applied over existing plaster or paint, ThermalDry can even be applied directly to brick or concrete walls.

ThermalDry is an acrylic, water-based paint that contains thousands of tiny, hollow glass beads. Together, the beads work in much the same way as a Thermos flask, reflecting thermal energy to provide a surface with exceptional protection against damaging condensation. Once completely dried, ThermalDry provides a lasting, reliable seal against moisture ingress and strongly resists the growth of mould.

Before application, ThermalDry Anti-Condensation Paint requires gentle stirring. This should be done by hand: mechanical stirring devices are not recommended as this can cause breakage of the delicate glass beads. Two coats are required, with the first coat being applied in a horizontal direction and left to dry for a minimum of four hours. The second coat can then be applied, this time in a vertical direction.

ThermalDry Anti-Condensation Paint is supplied by Twistfix in cost-effective and convenient tubs, each containing five litres of formula. This is sufficient to cover up to five square metres of surface. As with every product supplied by Twistfix, ThermalDry Anti-Condensation Paint is available at a significantly lower price than the manufacturer's RRP.

ThermalDry Anti-Condensation Paint is just one of the many professional damp proofing and related products available from Twistfix. Please browse our website to discover the complete collection and do not hesitate to contact our dedicated technical team for expert advice and support.
