Sump pumps can be imagined as the heart of a cellar waterproofing system. They work by gathering excess water into a single place via channels known as 'sumps' before routing it safely away from a property. Powered by mains electricity or its integral battery, a sump pump can help to remedy basement dampness as well as provide reliable flooding protection.
Pumping stations are designed to discharge storm and foul water from buildings where ordinary gravity drainage is not viable. As a fully-integrated system, a pumping station can be used to pump water from any area below the sewer level.
