Welcome to the world of Twistfix bestsellers!
Over the next few weeks, our blog is going to be focusing on the products that are currently on our bestsellers list. For this edition, we'll be looking at Technoseal DPM, an innovative paint designed to create a lasting damp proof membrane (DPM) that will imbue masonry with the most effective protection against attack from moisture.
Technoseal DPM is a signature product from Wykamol, which is widely recognised as an industry-leading brand. The damp proofing paint is formulated without the use of solvents or plasticisers, which ensures that it is non-toxic and causes minimal environmental impact. As a water-based formula, Technoseal DPM is expressly designed to be successfully applied to damp masonry.
If you've ever used Technoseal DPM before, you will certainly not be surprised to hear it variously described as a 'damp proofing champion' that creates not just a barrier but a 'formidable shield'. Boasting an extremely low permeability to water vapour, the formula also prevents the transmission of radon and methane.
One of the reasons that Technoseal DPM is popular enough to make our bestsellers list is its high level of versatility. Perfect for use on all kinds of masonry whether below or above the ground, the product is also ideal for waterproofing showers, bathrooms, kitchens and wet rooms. Even if the masonry is continuously underwater, Technoseal DPM shows no dip in performance, providing the same level of protection.
Another advantage of Technoseal DPM is the ease with which it can be applied. Simply follow this guide:
- All masonry to be treated should be clean, sound and free of defects, with an evenly-textured finish. Both the ambient and surface temperatures should be at least 7°C.
- Apply a coat of Technoseal DPM to a depth of 0.3mm using a brush or roller. Allow to become touch dry; this should take around one hour.
- Within 24 hours after applying the first coat, you can then apply a second. This time, work in a perpendicular direction to the first coat.
Technoseal DPM is available in either White or Black, both of which colours dry to a smart semi-gloss finish. Check out the product page for more details!
